Montana Tribal College PACE – Pursuit of Educational Advancement Toward Careers in Environmental Fields

Partnership initiative of the Montana State University Extension Pollution Program and Montana Tribal Colleges, funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Environmental Justice Program.

Partnering with Montana’s seven Tribal Colleges, Montana State University (Bozeman Campus) departments (having American Indian programs) it is the goal of PACE to promote and advance environmental education environmental-related degrees and careers among Tribal College students.


PACE Features

– Involve Tribal College students and faculty in partnering with Tribal environmental organization/agency to identify and contribute to resolving a real-life environmental issue of the Reservation.

–  Develop a Tribal College teaching module/curriculum dealing with Reservation an environmental issue.

–  If feasible, match a subject matter MSU student with the Tribal College to mentor participating student(s).
