Spokane Tribe Calls on Inslee to Halt Mt. Spokane Expansion

The expansion of the Mt. Spokane ski park is expected to begin soon but could be put on hold if the Spokane Tribe of Indians get their way after they asked Governor Jay Inslee Wednesday to put a halt on the project.
The Spokane Tribe says the expansion would cut down the forest that they have used for centuries, adding the mountain is part of their ancestral traditions and they fear they’ll lose that.
