CAKE – Climate Adaptation Knowledge Exchange

CAKE is an online climate change adaptation website for people working on environmental management issues in the face of climate change. It includes a case study database of adaptation projects and ideas; a virtual library with resources such as journal articles, presentations, reports, and more; a directory of professionals practicing climate change adaptation; a community section with an adaptation expert advice column, calendar, and announcement board; and a tools section with list tools available online to help you process climate change information and make adaptation decisions. Among the case studies are 1) “Documenting Traditional Ecological Knowledge in Northwest Alaska,” 2) “Relocating the Village of Newtok, Alaska due to Coastal Erosion,” and 3) “The Igliniit Inuit Sea Ice Use and Occupancy Project.”
